Help logging in to the EQA system

1. How to log in

Use of the system is by invitation only. You should have received an email informing you of you your username and giving instructions for setting a password.

2. You don't have an EQA username

Contact support@eqa.co.za.

3. You've forgotten your username or password

If you have forgotten your password click on the "forgotten password?" link on the EQA home page. If you have forgotten which of your email addresses is your username, check through your email accounts for the introductory email from the EQA server. If you can't find it contact your centre administrator who will have a list of all registered users.

4. Do I need a special computer to run the EQA?

The following are required or recommended for the EQA:

  1. A good quality screen, as used for normal grading. It must have a vertical resolution of at least 900 pixels (note that a typical 19 inch flat screen monitor is 1280x1024 pixels, i.e. 1024 pixels in the vertical direction) and a typical 19 inch CRT monitor 1280x960 pixels.
  2. A suitable web browser. The EQA has been tested on Microsoft Internet Explorer 6+, Mozilla Firefox 3.0+, Google Chrome 4+ and Apple Safari (windows). When you log in various tests will be performed to make sure the browser is set up correctly. However, if your browser is not one of those tested you may experience unpredictable behaviour.
  3. The most common problem is that your browser will not allow the EQA website to "pop up" a new window. Usually a yellow bar at the top of the screen will give you instructions how to fix this. If not, here are instructions for enabling pop ups.
  4. Finally, you will require a reasonably fast and reliable internet connection (2Mbps ADSL is adequate). [Check your connection speed].
